You can download a free Gym Acclimation Programme which gives you a step by step guide to using the gym and how to get started. You can also follow the blog for regular updates and tips.
Some of the advice includes:
- Memorise the lay out of gym, so you know where things are
- Use tactile clues to enable you to set your hands and feet in the correct position
- Try and go at quieter times so there are less obstacles
- do what makes you comfortable
- go at your own pace and choose an exercise and programme that suits you.
