What is Unified English Braille (UEB)?
The Unified English Braille (UEB) code brings together several existing Braille codes into one unified code, including literary and technical codes. UEB has been adopted for use in all the major English Speaking countries of the world.
In 2011, the UK Association of Accessible Formats (UKAAF) board voted to adopt the Unified English Braille code (UEB) to the UK, to replace Standard English Braille (SEB).
Further information can be found on RNIB's UEB braille webpage.
