What does a Universal Credit payment include?

The amount of Universal Credit you receive depends on your circumstances. The DWP will pay you a standard allowance plus any additional elements that apply to you. These additional elements include:

  • Child element
  • Disabled child addition
  • Childcare element
  • Carer element
  • Limited capability for work element
  • Housing Benefit
  • Transitional protection for those on SDP and EDP
