Are there any technology and equipment grants or funding available for children with vision impairment?
There are a number of organisations that provide funding for assistive technology and equipment for children and young people to use at home. Make sure you read through the application thoroughly and provide as much information as possible to support your request. Detail how you believe it will make a real difference to your childs day to day life and how they would use it to assist them. Our partner charities VICTA, Guide Dogs and RNIB all offer grants and funding.
Family Fund can also provide grants for a number of items including sensory toys and assistive technology.
Henshaws have a list of grant awarding charities which you can request via an online form on their website or by calling them on 0300 222 5555. It includes organisations that may be able to fund the purchase of technology, equipment, education or in some cases day to day living expenses.
